Utilities Division: Understanding Your Water Bill
To Determine Water Usage:
Located on the left-hand side of your bill is your "METER READING". These units are in hundred cubic feet. There are approximately 748 gallons per 100 cubic feet.
1 Unit = 100 Cubic Feet = 748 Gallons
To determine the number of gallons used in the month, multiply the "Amount Used" by 748. For example, if your "Amount Used" was 20 Units, then multiply 20 Units by 748 Gallons/Unit.
Example: 20 Units X 748 Gallons/Unit = 14,960 Gallons

To Determine Metered Rate Water Bill:
The metered water bill is determined by multiplying the amount of water used by the cost of the water. The current cost of water is $1.0851 per Unit. The minimum monthly quantity is 16 Units.
If your "Amount Used" is less than 16 Units, your bill would be the monthly minimum as determined by multiplying 16 Units by $1.0851 per Unit (16 X $1.0851 = $17.36).
If your "Amount Used" is greater than 16 Units, your bill is determined by multiplying the "Amount Used" by $1.0851. For example if your "Amount Used" was 20 Units, then multiply 20 Units by $1.0851.
Example: 20 Units X $1.0851 per Unit = $21.70
