Code Enforcement
The City of Yuba City Code Compliance Division promotes and maintains a safe and desirable living and working environment for City residents and business owners. Through education and enforcement, the City strives to maintain a high quality of life for the community and its residents.

In partnership with residents, public service agencies, the Fire and Police Departments, and other departments, Code Compliance:

  • Facilitates voluntary compliance with City laws and codes.
  • Educates community members on permitted activities.
  • Conducts site inspections to verify if violations exist and follows up with property owners and reporting parties.
  • Develops public outreach programs.
  • Establishes community priorities for enforcement programs.

Common Code Compliance items include: abandoned vehicles, trash and debris on private property, vacant buildings, and overgrown weeds and bushes.
