Informal Bidding Process

The City of Yuba City Public Works Department follows the alternative bidding procedures as described in Section 22030-22045 of the California Public Contract Code.

If you would like to have your construction company included on the City's list of qualified bidders, please complete and submit a Request Form.

The List of Qualified Bidders is updated annually. Each November the City sends a notice to all construction trade journals (per Section 22036 of the Public Contract Code) inviting licensed contractors to submit their firm for inclusion on the City’s list for the following year. From the submitted applications the City creates a new contractor’s list each January. The list includes all contractors who have provided the City with the required information any time during the calendar year in which the list is valid or during November or December of the previous year.
