The Public Works - Utilities Department oversees the treatment and distribution of the City's water and sewer utilities through the operation of the Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Facility, and Laboratory.  We are proud to provide safe, reliable, and efficient water and wastewater services for our community and the environment.

After-Hours Emergency

If you are experiencing an after-hours emergency, such as a major water leak or sewer system backup, please contact the Yuba City Police Department dispatch center at (530) 822-4661 to request a Public Works on-call crew member to respond.

Wastewater Treatment:

To contact the Wastewater Treatment Facility regarding wastewater treatment or laboratory services, please call (530) 822-4639.

Wastewater Collection and Water Distribution Systems:

To contact the Public Works Department regarding an issue with the water distribution system such as a water main leak or an issue with the sewer collection system such as an overflow, please call (530) 822-4626.

Water Quality and Water Treatment:

To contact the Water Treatment Plant regarding water quality or water treatment, please call (530) 822-4636.
