Urban water suppliers are required by the Urban Water Management Planning Act to update their Urban Water Management Plan every five years to assess the reliability of its water sources over a 20-year planning horizon considering normal, dry, and multiple dry years. The UWMP is a planning tool for both the City of Yuba City and California Department of Water Resources. The UWMP is to report, describe, and evaluate the following:
Water service area and system
Water deliveries, demands, and uses
Water supply sources and reliability
Water shortage contingency planning
Efficient water uses
Demand Management Measures (DMMs), including implementation strategy and schedule
