The City's new Garden Refuse Ordinance (Ordinance No. 004-19) took effect December 5, 2019. This ordinance prohibits blowing leaves and yard debris (known as "garden refuse") into the street, and instead requires garden refuse to be disposed of in the green garbage totes. These changes to the Municipal Code protect our street condition and waterways by keeping waste out of the roadways and storm-water system. Violation of the ordinance may result in fines.
