Mobile Home Rehabilitation Program
The City of Yuba City offers a Mobile Home Repair Program which is designed to provide affordable loans to low-income owners of mobile homes located in the city limits.
Eligibility:
The homeowner must occupy the mobile home as their principal residence and have household income that does not exceed the low-income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Loan Terms:
The program offers an unsecured 0% interest loan up to a maximum of $7,500. The loan balance is forgiven after five (5) years. If within that five years the property is sold, title transferred, or borrower no longer occupies the home as his/her principal residence, the loan balance will be due and payable in full.
Eligible Repairs:
Repairs may include roofing, pest control work, plumbing, electrical, flooring, painting, and some types of general property improvements. Energy conservation work like weatherstripping and insulation are encouraged. Improvements such as pools, spas and interior decorating are not eligible.
Yuba City's Mobile Home Rehabilitation Program is operated by the Consolidated Area Housing Authority of Sutter County.
