The Cultural Celebration was a FABULOUS EVENT!The event took place on two consecutive days Saturday, September 25, 10am - 10pm and Sunday, September 26, 10am - 5pm. The Cultural Celebration is a celebration of ethnic traditions and diversity through food, arts and music. It offers a broad variety of tantalizing, ethnic foods, vendors displaying unique arts, crafts and clothing from around the world, and the best music, dance and entertainment you'll find anywhere in the North Valley. Unplugged Poolside!Join us on Friday, September 24 for this fabulous kick-off party!
Wine AreaThe Cultural Celebration is hosting a wine area from 4 - 9pm featuring wines from regional wineries. The area will offer tastings of Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, blends and more! Wineries will also be selling their products so you can take some home to enjoy! Wine lovers will enjoy the delectable tastes while taking in the sweet sounds of the fabulous entertainment.
Music, Dance and FunFabulous Latino, Folk, Blues, Gospel, Reggae, Punjabi, Native American, Filipino, Japanese, Hawaiian and many more soul-stirring sounds fill the air as music and dance groups perform throughout the evening. Artists are featured on three strategically located stages.
Cultural Arts and CraftsColorful and exciting booths of high quality featuring multicultural artisans and crafters line the Town Center streets.
Children's AreaThe Children's area runs from 10am - 4pm on Saturday, September 25. The area will feature hands-on activities that include Brazilian Painted Maracas, African Bracelets, Dutch Pinwheels, Aztec Masks and Australian Boomerangs. Free of Charge. The Children's area is hosted by the Regional Arts Council. Sunday, September 26 is "Family Day" all day - and the entire event will feature kid-friendly entertainment including Mariachi, dance from local dance studios, balloon art, face painting, singing with entertainers and a Magic Show.
International FoodsSample an incredible selection of food choices in one place at the Cultural Celebration. You can expect to find spicy Mexican and Thai dishes, satisfying German and Polish offerings, and exotic Greek, Chinese, Punjabi cuisine and more!
Everyone Enjoys the Cultural CelebrationThough the Cultural Celebration is located in Yuba City, its draw is regional. Working closely within the network of local and regional agencies and groups, businesses and the media, the festival continues to build volunteer and sponsorship support and is widely attended by people of all ages and all ethnicities. |
