Senior Scholarship
The Yuba City Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer scholarships to less financially fortunate member of our community. The scholarships are supported by funds from Rick Balfour and Friends of the Yuba City Parks and Recreation Foundation. The criteria to qualify for a Senior Scholarship include proof of income, public assistance or financial need. Applications are available at our office. Applicants must live in Yuba City and be age 60 or older. Scholarships are limited to $50 per year, per person for all classes, activity cards and trips. Scholarships will be granted as long as funds are available. If the program fee is more than $50, participants are responsible for paying the difference.

It Doesn’t Happen Without Volunteers!
Is there a hobby, special talent or skill that you think the Senior Center would benefit from? We are always looking for volunteers to help out with a variety of positions. Please call 822-4608 for further information.

Caring Calls
What a terrific way to get your day started! A Caring Calls volunteer will enrich your life by calling you daily "just to check in". It’s amazing how just a few minutes of chatting can make your day that much brighter! Please call 674-5253 to enroll in this program. Everyday Instructor: Julie Kruger
