Streetscape Improvements
Streetscape Improvements
A street study is exploring the addition of landscape medians, pedestrian walkways with lights, and new landscape areas with street trees along the corridor.

For sections of the road with wider right-of-way areas, the addition of a landscape medians with trees is being considered.  These areas would also receive new pedestrian walkways that are buffered from the road by landscape areas with street trees.

Proposed Street Improvements
For sections of the road with narrow right-of-way areas, the addition of a narrow median is being considered along with new pedestrian walkways.  For these areas the addition of landscape areas is being considered behind the walk, in private property, where asphalt parking lots currently front the corridor.  The goal is to increase the shade and canopy cover along the corridor by converting some asphalt areas into planting areas wherever it is feasible.

Proposed Street Improvements
Note: The street improvements shown above are guidelines for future development along the corridor.
