NOTICE OF POTENTIAL EXPOSURE TO COVID-19

TUESDAY, JULY 20, 2021

CITY COUNCIL MEETING

The City has learned that a worker who was present in the City Council Chambers has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  This notice is to notify anyone who attended the July 20, 2021 City Council meeting that you may have been exposed to COVID-19.  Due to confidentiality requirements and privacy protections, information regarding the worker’s identity cannot be released. Information about the nature of potential exposure and recommended actions for you to take is identified below.

Nature of Exposure and Quarantine:

No member of the public is identified as having close contact with the worker, but members of the public were present at the same place during the worker’s infectious period.  Since no member of the public had close contact with the worker, there is no requirement to quarantine.  If you attended the City Council meeting, it is recommended that you self-monitor for symptoms for at least 10 days from July 20, 2021, the date of the City Council meeting.  You should contact the local public health department and your own healthcare provider for guidance and any potential actions to take based on individual circumstances or if you develop COVID-19 symptoms.

Cleaning/Disinfecting:

The City has followed CDC guidance on the disinfection of the City Council Chambers.  This includes the shared restrooms and any other common facilities.  All frequent touch areas including door handles, light switches, and handrails have also been disinfected.   The City used products that meet EPA criteria for use against COVID-19.
