Welcome to the Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department is responsible for the City’s recruitment and selection process, labor relations, affirmative action plan administration, benefit plans administration, maintenance of employee records, risk management and employee training development.

Our goal is to attract, recruit and retain innovative, creative, and customer-service driven staff.  We provide total rewards to our employees. Simply put, total rewards are the monetary and non-monetary return provided to our employees in exchange for their time, talents, efforts, and results. It involves many elements including compensation, benefits, work-life, performance and recognition, development, and career opportunity.

The City of Yuba City is requesting proposals from interested, highly-qualified attorney firms to provide employment and labor law attorney services including but not limited to family leave laws, risk management, employment discrimination, compliance with laws governing the workplace, benefits and compensation, workplace safety, work with the City’s worker’s compensation attorneys, wage and overtime standards, contracts and agreements, CalPERS, employment decisions, investigations, policies, litigation, labor relations and law, and represent the City in administrative proceedings.
Qualified firms with at least five (5) years of municipal law experience are invited to submit written proposals to provide employment and labor law attorney services. It is the City preference that the designated attorney have at least ten (10) years of employment and labor law experience.
